Senmonorom
is the capital of Mondulkiri province which is largest province
in Cambodia. The population is about 32,000 scattered throughout
the mountainous region. 80% of the population are 11
difference hill tribe minorities with the majority of them is
Phnong. The remaining 20% are Khmer, Chinese and Muslim Cham.
The population lives off the land, agricultural
customs,planting
rice, fruit trees and a variety of vegetables. Others grow
strawberries, coffee, rubber, cashewnut and avocado.
The spectacular Sen Monorom Waterfall is located 15km from the
town is easily accessible to visitors such as first Romanear
waterfall, tribal village, on the top of mountain where you can
get best fresh air, Bou Sraa waterfall, 37km from town and the
animist beliefs and honor numerous forest.
